Meet Suz

Susanna is one of our Housing Specialists. She is our New Zealander, growing up in NZ before migrating across the ditch in 2010. She is known as Suz by her clients and fellow colleagues.

Suz has completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Community and Family Studies (Social Work) and has a Diploma of Religious Studies.

Suz started this career path when she took a part time job as a disability support worker in NZ, providing hand-on support to people in their homes and community. She very quickly realised her passion for supporting people with a disability to live a normal life and creating inclusive communities, so she moved swiftly into Senior Management roles that have allowed her the opportunity to pursue this passion further and further.   

Suz met Lauren (our CEO and Founder at DHA) approx. 4 years ago while working together to implement creative support solutions that met the needs of NDIS tenants in SDA housing, and her passion was CONTAGIOUS. It was time for a change, so Suz joined the DHA team and she hasn’t looked back.  

As a Housing Specialist, Suz has the privilege of walking alongside NDIS participants and their loved ones through the entire SDA housing journey. From assisting each person with the SDA application process, through to finding them their perfect SDA home to move into, seeing people transition from unsuitable housing into SDA is an incredible experience to be a part of.  

Suz is a total home-body! So, when she is not at work, Suz can be found either pottering in the garden with my three dogs (and three-legged cat!) or cooking up a storm in the kitchen with my two young daughters.
